The sky was fairly clear from my observing area. I had a great view of the Milky way from Perseus to the east running through Cygnus and Lyra. The double cluster was an easy naked eye object and impressive in the scope. Using the scope, M-31 and M-32 were very granular upon a glance, while still rising. M-15 quite resolvable as well as M-22 and other M objects. M-52 and M-103 certainly looked nice. M-57 was awesome. Using my 4.8 mm Nagler the sky background appeared cold black, and the ring was quite beautiful despite the small apeture I was using. I couldn't spit the double double with the 16 mm Brandon because the magnification was too low. However the the 4.8mm view certainly was more than cleanly split. Albrieo was certainly majastic too. In the clear sky and absence of light pollution; I was able to see motling in the Milky way fairly easily. The 2nd magnitude stars of Casseopeia in the telescope appeared unusually bright and I at first was startled by this! The skies here a short distance away from the main road are certainly darker than what we have back home!
