Checking the fit on one of the mounting rings. These hold the optical tube to the mounting plate on the Paralax mounting.

Note the fan at this end of the telescope. It is one of three fans to improve air flow and help keep the mirror temperatures equal with the outside air.

Flacc Stifel attaches the straps to the come along to hoist the almost 300 Lb. telescope up to the mounting plate. It is a good thing telescopes are almost hollow.
