On March 29, 2006 - The famous John Dobson arrived in Pittsburgh, PA for the Carngie Science Center - Astronomy Day Event. He was greeted by Bill and Maureen Moutz and over the next serval days is enjoying a stay at their home in the Verona area. Mr. Dobson recieved a tour of Allegheny Observatory on thursday, hosted by Art Glasser, with Bill, Richard Frye, and myself. Mr. Dobson examined the 30 inch Thaw Refractor and also the Historic 13 inch Fritz-Clark instrument. A dinner followed at Follino's in the south side.
