Official Dedication of the 24 inch RC Telescope at Mingo Creek Observatory occurred Saturdat June 24 2006, during the 2006 SUMMERFEST Event.

Even though the weather turned very much against us; we packed in guests and officials.

Al-Paslow > Early in the day this scope as well as others owned by Larry McHenry were used to view the sun.

Al-Paslow > Here is an interesting display of telescopes setup or specially designed for solar observing.

$Al-Paslow > An 80 mm apeture stop was attached to the 10 inch refractor, and a Lumicon solar filter was installed at the focuser to safely view the sun.$

$Al-Paslow > A Cornado telescope was presented to Dick Hadad,by the Rotary Club of Bethel Park, and attached to the 10 inch refractor.$
