Elusive phenomenon is imaged ! We managed to observe the Cross or "X" during later daylight several hours befor the sunset. The Lunar x occurrs when sunlight strikes the rims of various craters Caille, Blanchinus, and Purbach.
Under proper conditions the effect is quite interesting. Images were taken witha 10 inch F-12 refractor telescope.
